Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) is the third installment in the live-action Transformers film series. The film reveals a secret history behind the 1960s space race, claiming the Apollo 11 moon landing was a mission to investigate a crashed Cybertronian spacecraft known as the Ark. In the present day, Sam Witwicky and the Autobots race to reach the ship and its pilot, Sentinel Prime, before the Decepticons can use its technology to transport Cybertron to Earth and enslave humanity.
