Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales was the fifth film in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, released in 2017. The film follows Captain Jack Sparrow as he is pursued by his old nemesis, the ghostly Captain Salazar, who has escaped from the Devil’s Triangle. Jack’s only hope of survival lies in finding the legendary Trident of Poseidon, an artifact that grants total control over the seas. The story also introduces new characters, Henry Turner (son of Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann) and Carina Smyth, who are on their own quests and team up with Jack.
